In order to expand my understanding of autism spectrum disorder and related conditions, I worked as behavior therapist for over a year.
I helped a nonverbal child learn to speak using 5–6-word sentences, identify feelings and emotions, and say "I love you" to his Mom and Dad.
I collected reliable, accurate data to monitor client progress.
I provided emotional support, guidance, and training to parents in order to help them provide adequate, individualized care for their children.
I took detailed notes to ensure proper documentation and billing of treatment.
